Ronson's marginally better than Imbruglia.

NO.

I second that perfectly proclaimed no.

I didn't know Imbruglia had such a fanbase among the QOTSA faithful.

This is better. Mark Ronson.

Ronson's marginally better than Imbruglia.

Though that's like comparing venereal diseases or Tyler Perry films.

Why not Born to Hula, as that was also on the Kyuss/QOTSA split, alongside Spiders and Vinegaroons.

Wristcutters: A Love Story

For a film dealing with suicide, it certainly wasn't overtly depressing or morose. Sure, the ending felt contrived and the characters were... well... characters and not overburdened with depth, but it was a very good film.

7.5/10

I heard the startling rumour that they played Ode to Clarissa.

Is that the bullshit I expect it to be?

It's likely that we're gonna' get the odd song puncturing the BBC3 coverage before we get the enxtended set on the red button, which probably won't be for hours yet.

Bloody hell.

What time do we tune in at then for the red button?

There are two video streams on the red button (one not available to freeview folk), and QOTSA aren't listed on the 'Next' for either. They are on the 'Coming Up' list, meaning it'll probably be a while.

Regarding QOTSA coverage, someone asked the Beeb the following...

1. At 12:00pm on 27 Aug 2010, giantheman wrote:

i have been looking in the tv listings and i can't seem to find queens of the stone age's gig. instead you have a 1 hour slot which you are going to show highlights of mumford and sons?, biffy clyro and phoenix? and then at 10'30 ur gonna show guns n roses. why no qotsa? are they on the red button and if so i dont just want one song by them that would be an insult to them and me, no i want the entire gig. also all that stuff about "we can only show a certain amount of what is filmed is rubbish. you dont need to edit it we dont want to see the edith bowman and regea yates inbetween every song or at all for that matter just show what is filmed cause people like to see what the band does between songs.

With this being the reply...

Black Dynamite.

Seems to be playing hardly anywhere, and will probably disappear from UK screens by the weekend, but this is a strong contender for funniest movie I've seen all year. Solid 8/10.

It's certainly pretty difficult to catch. Neither the big chains nor the independant cinemas (read = arthouse) are really carrying it.

Absolutely hilarious though. Worthy of being mentioned alongside Airplane, Naked Gun and the like. 8.5/10
