I hope this lawsuit doesn't interfere with Nick's new project: QOTSA Lives! It will feature several former members of Queens of the Stone Age playing the songs you want to hear they way they're meant to sound. Autopilot, anyone?!

mark lanegan- lead vocals
nick oliveri - bass, vocals
dave catching - lead guitar
brendan mcnichol - lap steel, guitar
gene trautmann - drums

Troy and Joey are awesome. Dean and Mikey do a really good job. they developed a lot since they joined 5 years ago, especially on the recent s/t-tour

Gene was ok, but not that good.
here is a descending list of the best Queens drummers:

Dave
Fredo
Joey
Gene.

But c'mon: Brendon? he was the lamest member ever..
here is a descending list of the best Queens members playing lapsteel/keys/guitar:

Troy

Davey Catching

That would be a lot like what Whitesnake did when Deep Purple went into hiatus.

New qotsa:

Arnel Pineda (small Filipino lead singer sound-a-like for Journey) lead vocals
Buckethead would be lead guitar
Scott Reeder on bass (just to have SOMEONE from Kyuss in it)
and the hologram of John Bonham on drums

Looks like all the bitterness and doubel dealing will come out when it gets to court. One side's likely gonna lose their reputation, and I wouldn't like to guess which...

I think both sides would be wise to settle out of court
Josh may be " Born To Win"
but at any cost?
He could potentially lose more than Royalties and Pride

The first could backfire very badly if the judge decides Bjork (and by extension Cockrell) should have been on the original trademark as key originators of the product -which is what Bjork is saying there. It wouldn't be the first time that's happened with a trademark.

"How a person who has experienced the richness of life that he has would take the time to take his past band members and friends – guys who directly contributed to his ability to go on to have his own successful career – is sad. I feel sorry for him."

This is all going to backfire on Josh and Scott, look what petty jealousy breeds...

I don't really understand the bit where he says he had no choice but to leave his own band because Josh wanted to write the songs?
if it was his band wouldn't he just get another singer or insist on co writing?
how can you be forced to leave your own band?

Happened to Nick, hence the name change to Nick Oliveri and The Mondo Generator.
