This is pretty much the most upbeat record I've heard them do. I'm really enjoying it, it sounds so much more invigorated. Nude is pretty incredible.

I'm only 3 songs in, but it seems like they haven't broken any new sound yet, mostly a good re-tread of the classic radiohead sound.

yes devilhead, we already know you're an annoying cunt who tries to shit on everything people like while adding nothing of value on your own

go back to dreaming of getting pussy for the first time

Spoken just like someone who knows absolutely nothing of whom he speaks.  Where's the legendary Jewish sense of humor?

Ive listened to it three times through so far, and my first reaction is that I love it.  I can see myself listening to this all fall/winter.

Weird Fishes/Arpeggi is amazing.  The album really explodes with a rush of beats but starts to slow and become more spacious as it continues.  I like the transformation it takes.

As for the sound...it sounds..I dunno.  It's somewhere in between accessable radiohead and ambient radiohead.  I love the use of piano/xylophone thing/violins throughout.

But I thought this album was supposed to be frightening?  Isn't that what Yorke said?  This is probably the least scary or intimidating Radiohead album in years, but that's not a bad thing.  It's got a lot of beautiful moments.

it is mellow and beautiful and, like ash said, more positive and upbeat than their other albums.
i love the production, it gives it a nice retro feel to it.
the band balance seems great, too. no one member is taking over, it's very complete.
it's a beautiful album and i'm much more impressed with it than i thought i'd be.

i bet colin boogies his little socks off to bodysnatchers smile.gif

Can you at least try to be funny every once in while? That statement is not funny, it's stupid.

This will immeditately make me the least popular member of the forum but I don't like Radiohead and never have. They bore me.

The album is everything I expected.

I'd already been a Kyuss fan for 7 years so QOTSA was a logical progression for me.

Possibly the best reason to buy a album. Thats the only reason The Smiths are popular, fucking loads of them.

It's kind of funny how Queens of the Stone Age and Radiohead are just one contact away from each other, Thom Yorke has collaborated with both PJ Harvey and UNKLE.

I get the feeling they have more connections than that, I mean the fact that Josh directly quoted Radiohead's Creep in YCQMB suggests that he's at least a fan.
