So, last night I was up later than usual and caught Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris! They apparently are going to tour together starting in May. It was different but excellent - Knopfler is the king of his guitar!!!

Holy FUCK!!! As if those two are touring!!! And holy FUCK again-someone else on here likes/appreciates him!!!! I've seen Knopfler twice-his first album blew right the fuck out of the water.

I missed it but I have seen Emmylou live a couple of times and it's always great.

Well I was intrigued and I very well may be buying their album which comes out this month (maybe today) and if they come close, I may have to see them - strictly b/c of Knopfler. Emmylou didn't sound so granny old last night - she tried to compliment Mark's voice and the result was less falsetto and it worked for me!

Said it before and I'll say it again. Knopfler is the best guitarist I have ever seen in my life. He is in total control of everything that's going on. Fucking master.
I may well check out that Philidelphia album you speak of.

The venue is supposed to be incredible, to the west is downtown and to the east is Lake Michigan. I haven't been yet but I may have to get tickets to this show.

M...he is a motherfucking god on the guitar...there has to be other people on here that appreciate him!
And I have always had a love affair with Emmy Lou ever since watching The Last Waltz with my dad when I was 12. That is fantastic they teamed up. I will be catching that show for sure when they come this way.
