C'mon Terry, chill, that's not what he said.
But it reminded me of this:
Three choices. One bullet. One trigger. Guess who gets to pull it.
One leader. A thousand slaves.
For every throne there's a thousand graves.
You're all the same. Just part of their machine.
Perpetuate their dream.
They subsidize your nightclubs and they subsidize your malls.
They herd and brand the masses within painted prison walls.
'Til your freedom of assembly becomes the missiles they create.
Or just mass delusion dancing to this music that you fucking hate.
But I'm not the same. I'm not part of your fucking machine.
I'll jeopardize their dream.
I'd rather be imprisoned in a George Orwell-ian world
Than your pacified society of happy boys and girls.
I'd rather know my enemies and let you know the same.
Whose windows to smash and whose tires to slash
And where to point the fucking blame.
One future. Two choices. Oppose them or let them destroy us

thats pretty lame
here in america we have national parks and state forests that are supposed to be protected but so many dumbfuck tourists go there and trash it that they are actually the most polluted and used up pieces of land anywhere.

The white men, the black men, the yellow men, greed doesn't know colours. It's happening all over the world, everywhere. What cannot be produced and sold immediately seems to be totally valueless these days. But I don't want their bullshit, I can have a fine day on a forest lake with my pals without buying anything.
Everytime I see a tree being cut to make way for bullshit I feel like launching a missile. I'm thinking of starting a terrorist cell, just like some people that are secretly planting little forests by night everywhere. I wanna be a tree terrorist. But then again, they'd cut'em down anyways. Their greed is just too strong.

America's fault? You totally read that into what I said yourself. The stuff i'm complaining about is in Europe and did originate in Europe (but it grows on its own all over the world, it's a generic process. Build tacky shallow club, attract tacky shallow people, expand and repeat, gradually erode any real culture the place may have had originally (or could have had) as you go. Some of the 'nightlife' streets in melbourne have entire rows of venues that make me want to vomit, and there's plently of clubs like the ones in spain in tropical Australia). One of those things being an obsolute obsession with the USA and England and anything that's western like that. In Italy, people on TV literally gain credibility and admiration if they throw a big Enlglish word into something they're saying on TV. They have Eurotrash songs with one line of english being the centre piece. I went to buy a pair of jeans and ALL the no name brands had badges that had stars and stripes on them, or the "USA". One pair I was gonna buy said "The most AMERICAN jeans!". I don't have anything against the UNITED STATES at all. But a major part of all that eurotrash 2bit dance club bar is a love for an America and a seriously misguided and and unhealthy obsession with the nation as though it is some sort super country where everybody is free and has jobs and there are no problems.

I guess you could say its the idiots buying them. But on the other hand, the people selling them and marketing and expanding CAUSE more people to buy them. So who's to blame?
I used to go out to this absolute meat market shit hole in Melbourne that was always packed with 18 - 21 year olds. Some bad DJ, exspensive drinks, violent and aggresive security. I used to go with people I went to school with, sort of like a weekly thing on Thursdays, go to this place and that's where people would be going.
EVERYTIME I went there I used to complain how bad it was, but still go and get smashed. I talked to other people about it, and their like 'yeah this place is a shithole, but everybody goes here. Cheap drinks too (which is total crap, clever marketing ploy). That's why i go' I used to think the same and used to go and waste money there most weeks just to get trashed and see people who for the most part I wasn't very close to anyway. A few months back I made a rule to myself, to never go there again because it's just so horrible, and I haven't. Most of the people I know still go though, just because it's there, they're young, and they don't have the initiative or the maturity to do something else. They've been going to this precinct since they were underage, and are all completely sucked into the whole scene while at the same time being able to see how stupid it is but not really feeling they can do much better. So who's to blame?
Where are the future generations of mankind gonna be taking us?
It's like pokies (slot machines). I dunno if you have this issue in the US, but here, the live music scene has been raped pretty hard by the legalising of pokies in pubs, so now pubs just have rooms of these fucking things blinking and flashing and making noises with about half a dozen addicts sitting their 24/7. Whereas once upon a time the pub would have turned to live bands to attract customers and income.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i neeed something else to whinge about !

I can seriously say I've seen pretty much all this city has to offer in that market, and it's all shite, even the supposed "alternative" ones.
It's just a place to be seen, that's all.
Fuck it.
I go to bars and pubs when I want to drink, and to concerts when I want to dance.

What city are you in?
Concerts is damnfuckingstraight where it's at! THAT'S a good night out. At a good concert, you can dance to awesome music, pick up, have as much chemical fun as you want, and still spend less money than a club. I love concerts! I wish my favourite bands would tour more!
I reckon I actually have more fun being drunk and fooling around in the street, in between clubs, than inside any actual venue. At least you can talk on the street.

And yeah, getting pissed with friends at home or in the streets is waaay more fun than going to a club imo.
Cheaper too, and you suffer less numbskulls.

Getting pissed at home is the way to go! The best nights i've have had have ALWAYS been at someone house or property in the country, getting wasted by the fire, looking at the stars. I loved getting wasted out in nature!

I guess beauty always attracts dumbness. People that like their beautiful and oh so tidy 30 floor hotels directly on the beach, they're probably just too dumb to realise the beauty in this place has been destroyed before.

By the way, dance music can be totally rad. Anybody who doesn't like a genre just because it uses a drum machine or keyboards is just being a self-limiting music snob. Excpet for the Bravery. Everybody should despise them and want to kill them with radial arm saws and acetelyne torches.

Yeah! Good analogy, it's exactly like McDonalds!
People are lazy. They don't want to think for themselves, they don't want to take it upon themselves to be different or try something new, or go against what everyone else is doing.

Are you accusing me of having Magic: The Gathering buddies?
Newsflash, not all ladies like shit clubs!
Don't get me wrong, I got nothing wrong with going out and getting drunk and ending up where ever the fuck the night takes me, but I just don't buy into any scene and I avoid SHIT venues. I enjoy clubs when a good DJ is on, in fact I fucken love it, but with the shit i'm talking about, the music plays a very small part and no one cares about it. As long as it doofs then it does the job. The place I talked about that i don't go to anymore, literally played the same songs everyweek.

I can completely understand this, I actually feel the same way. Yet it scares me how violence is ingrained in us. Imagine if our initial response to this situation was peaceful and thought-out. If people were brought up like that to begin with, we probably wouldn't even have this problem.
Speaking of McDonalds, did anyone else see "Super Size Me"? They showed about 5 kids different pictures of famous people (Jesus, George Washington, George Bush). Some of them knew the different figures, I don't think any of them recognized Jesus, yet they all knew Ronald McDonald and what he did. Granted this is a biased documentary. I know that there could've been 20 other kids who showed different results. I doubt that, though.

teenagers work at mcdonalds because they need a fuckin' job and have no work experience. wow children were able to identify a clown and not a biblical figure or a dead us president, that really say a lot about... FUCK ALL. they're children. the marketing worked.
"I guess beauty always attracts dumbness. People that like their beautiful and oh so tidy 30 floor hotels directly on the beach, they're probably just too dumb to realise the beauty in this place has been destroyed before."
- That was some good contradictory bullshit there; if beauty attracts dumbness and the beach itself was beautiful BEFORE the hotel... why the fuck weren't the dumb people there to begin with? Shit!? Maybe beauty is a matter of personal preference?
The greed of the fuckin' hotels... bringing in large amounts of money to the surrounding economy. And the jobs they create... fuckin' assholes.
Everytime I see fuckin' idiots resorting to violence, it just makes me so mad, I wanna go and kill someone.
Anyways... techno music has it's time and place.

Exactly, the marketing worked. No one blames those kids, it just shows how it works.
Tourism is the biggest business in the world, that's right, but it's also the biggest threat to the environment. And just because they generate some money it doesn't mean you can let them build their hotels wherever they want. Cause then you will have those ugly bastards all over the country. I wonder who's keen of going somewhere where there's only fucking concrete left? Ever been to Portugal, where huge cities of hotels were built and are still being built? No one wants to go there, cause it's awful, but the hotels are there anyways now and have ruined some great places.
It's not all about hotels. It's about this thinking that places are worthless until they are made profitable one way or the other. And I just don't think so.
