so you ddint take the time to even read the article i linked then?

that is scientific fact.

a shift in the axis of the earth has caused the last four ice ages..

fact.
and ive never said global warming is just a theory..
just that the pollution boogeyman that everyone raves about thse days is only one of many possible reasons ..

no i am sorry i didn't read it but i have it up to read before i go home, sorry.

i think i understand where you're coming from, i think i attribute more to pollution than you're comofrtable with attributing yourself because of the other factors involved.
that seems to sum it up.

man you and i would be great company for an afternoon

i love to be challenged

The world's axis shifted up to about 2 inches on the boxing day earthquake 04. Fact.

Anyway, you do realise that the earth is actually gradually ceasing to rotate? But these will happen years after global warming had already fuzzed us up.

you mean theres no such thing as perpetual motion?

o4?  thats kind of what i was alluding to..

please..

if you go by every "what is going to happen in the next so many years" theory, global warming wont even matter. becasue weve depleted so much of the rainforests, our eco system will fall apart due to a cak of oxygen..  and if not that, the oil reserves will run out, casuing a mad max free for all style scenario engulfing the planet in plinder.

or yellowstone is a huge pressure chamber thats going to blow any day now, covering the world in volcanic and sedementary dust....

or a comet thats passing near us now will come close nough to a gravitation feil caused by the earth that it wil either be slingshotted far away, or drawn directly into the earth..

thres scientific data to back up all of these theories..

its not even so much that im tryng t challenge.  but thers all this talk of scientific such and such..  but to prove or disprove antyihing you need a control, and different variables..

the variables are there..  in many different combinations..  but there is no control....

Well the fact is the earth has had to compete with air resistance for billions of years. It's always been slowing down. But it's only when nukes etc go off, and the climate changes, that things go haywire.

I say nukes blow up the whole planet before global warming etc.

I think you would really enjoy it.

There's about 25% too much gore, but the info is so clearly stated that it's very compelling.

Phew…A light sea breeze came in this afternoon: it slipped in under the smoke a lifted it higher in the air: now it’s not so bad, it’s just an ugly thick brownish haze.

Boy a fire of some 125 square miles sure puts out a lot smoke.
I’m worried about a couple of mountainsides on the north west, side of the fire: there are a few nice stands of forests on those mountains: and of course there is the Condor Sanctuary in the area too. The adults would just fly away, but the chicks…

so our waylon loving friend here has a point.

Like I said, I know that a forrest wasn't set on fire on purpose...I was developing the thread.

And actually global warming is bringing the ice age about earlier. All the ice that's been melted into water is diluting the salt (ie, warm) water and gulfs. No warm water means ice age is a'c'min.

So, salt is only present in warm water now? you are an idiot...

Well it's not just that the salty water is being diluted...cold water into warm water makes cooler water...it doesn't take a spiggin genius.

It has long been accepted that while some areas will get warmer, some (like the UK) will become cold and snowy. And in the long term, we will all get colder weather.

And where you got those figures from...I don't know. It has been known for yonks that America creates 1/4 of the worlds pollution.

And earth isn't in a vacuum...It lies within an atmosphere. It won't stop revolving around the sun, cos that is a vacuum. It's the rotating around it's axis that will cease.

When america was a leader in industry that might have been correct... However, we shipped the most of our factories out of the country because they dont meet our pollution standards, thus we dont produce as much pollution anymore. Those figures are for total pollution not just air, I should have been more specific. Oh, and they are per capita and showing how many pounds of carbon per person if you must know....

However, what is your point about some areas getting warmer or colder, or cooler water? I was capping on you for your idiotic comparison that salt water to warm water and the idea o the earth slowing down its rotation due to air resistance... It doesnt take a spiggin genius to figure out you dont know shit from apple butter... Quit repeating what your classmates tell and try and learn something for a change, maybe then youd actually get something correct, ass...

No dipshit, the earth isnt a vacum nor is the sun, space is... air resistance within our own atmosphere CANNOT cause the earth to slow its rotation around its own axis... but I thought you were refering to air resistance in space slowing the rotation, which is why I have branded you a nimcompoop... if thats not the case, Ill resign to the fact that you are a nimcompoop for other reasons which you have made clear... i.e. you cant read

Dumbass, I insult you because you try to wax intellectual about shit that you know not, which shows your ignorance and  makes you incrdibly lame... Furthermore, its obvious you cant read because if you could you would know that in my post and the quote of my post it explicitly says "SPACE IS A VACUM", not earth...

Jesus christ, you are dense... The mistake was made when you were conceived, blame it on the miserable twat what shat you out intothe world... Read my post "space is a vacum" where did I ever bring up earths atmosphere?  learn to read what I write then try to repeat it, dont invent shit you wish I said to try and make your point...

Fairly unambiguous, no?

Lets just forget about it.

At the end of the day, global warming is doing us harm, even America. Katrina and the other hurricanes of 05 were thought to be caused by a rise in temperature.

Indeed it is per capita... but how else could you cmopare the pollution production of USa with a country saythe size of denmark or luxembourg or even the UK? It would be far too easy to say we produce so much pollution when we are so much bigger than so many of the worlds countries, have more people than alot of them and have far more advanced economies than most that require suchthings. Dont forget we dont just pollute the world for our own good, we make alot of the stuff used around the world, so your neccesities are fueling our pollution just as ours are...

As for the nice one... it may have been had he not gotten his wish... but regardless, it has nothing to do with him being new. it has to do with the spreading untruth as fact, that just will not stand... however, in his defense he defended himself as best he could, so I salute him for that... He doesnt seem like a bad shit, just a little misinformed, but we will see what we can do about that...
