you surf hog!     the guys up here do the same thing.  when we had our shark attack the guys went out anyway cause they knew nobody would be out there.  we hate to share waves.

Yeah, it worked too. It was the most uncrowded I've ever seen it but it was just flat as fuck.

When I was in central america surfing this secluded reefbreak a guy spotted a huge shark outside the lineup. Everybody went in except for me and one other guy, we got perfect waves to ourselves for about 2 hours until everybody finally paddled back out  

I used to surf by a seal rookery/ great white breeding grounds in Big Sur all the time, that was super sketchy, especially by yourself. You can just feel the presence of great whites in the water there, it's fucking gnarly.
