With shipping, it translates to expensive.

youve obviously never checked the prices for one of the original run custom 503's?
also may be expesive for someone whos guitar is an epi/ibanez/or worse still. but once you realise you can play well enough and your not in it for any other reason than you love it and its just what you do- 1 thousand dollars is a TINY investment for a main squeeze!!!! ive spent tripple that on an amp and close to four times that on the rest of my gear not including my 7 guitars- wish icky was here to back me up!!!! anyways its cheap!

I'll back you up.  He speaks the truth.  $1,000 to $1,500 is a small amount to pay for a guitar that will last a lifetime.

I'm interested to see all of your gear, Mr. Bigsby.

Has anyone seen the Cort M600 before? Cheap GP lookalike. Bet they aren't the best to play, but if you can't even afford an Eastwood it might do you

While I never said anything bad about Matons, I myself wanting one, in my view it is expensive, atleast for my budget.

The Maton is expensive in everyones book to be honest. Its a nice guitar, I'd love one, but for the price, I'd rather buy a new amp than a new guitar.

yes i think they are.  or they are only DiMarzio stock.  I've seen to ideas on this.

It plays very well.  The pickups really have 2 distinct sound.  Tone is very nice.  The controls actually gives you control over the sound.  The cool thing about this guitar is that it probably have 25 years and it's original.  So it,s a pretty solid guitar.  Very good action on the guitar.

This seems to be a keeper guitar for alot of people.  I've never seen one on ebay and harmony central have only 5 reviews of it. (and i haven't provided one).

What's the guitar Josh played on the AOL sessions ? It's red and it has a really cool shape. It's not a Maton/Ovation/Gibson/PRS/Fender I think. What is it  huh.gif

Teisco V2 - a Jap guitar from the 60's - also a cheap knock off of a Mosrite

Teiscos are quite common on eBay, and there is a website http://www.teiscotwangers.com which shows each and every one of their models. The company that make the GP replicas also do replicas of similar looking Mosrite and Teisco guitars at http://www.myrareguitars.com/Eastwood.html
Shit, i'm sorry about the ridiculous size of this pic, but here it is: This model's done in several different finishes and with or without vibrato arm.

hey billy, long time no see.....
i had pics of all the gear i had and still mostly have for sale on the old thread about 6-10 pages back from the end i think page 51-57 somewhere maybe? other than that i have now threee australian made boutique amps (1972 rex bassking, 60's moody, and possibly more moody), a guyatone 20 watt with trem and reverb in orange tolex (60s), a brand spanking new custom maton 503 in translucent blue with a white plate n black trimings (all tagged up with factory warrentee case and booklets- this ones never been out of the custom shop!), theres the see-through dan armstrong original with two interchangable pickups (country rock and rock bass), then the older stuff: (pictureed in the old thread) teisco 1969 3 pickup oddball (the design is a 2 pickup, but a few were made with three and a bigsby styled trem arm), a 'richards' 335/country gentleman custom hybrid made by victorias own famous luthier sandy richards some time ago- given to a friend and ended up with me- it has two tv jones style pickups which sound MUCH meatier and midboosted, an original bigsby trem, custom black pearl knobs and black and creme flower design carved tusk tuning heads (see pictures in old board), i also have a discontinued ibanez axs32 in black/brown (or TKF color), and a vox valvetronix head and cab there somewhere too (60watt valves in both preamp and output).

.....so there you go my man, if you need just about anything else i have not got now in my possesion, i can still get it!

The Maton? If thats what you are talking about then you are in luck! They are made right here in Australia. They are a tad bit expensive though.
