i thought it was really good. i was also pleasantly surprised by the ending because i wasn't expecting them to veer so sharply away from historical accuracy like that. very nice. -------------------- ![]() |

A Single Man
I so should be a gay man What with all the beautifull young men throwing themselves at his feet It was like fate was taunting him, the whole time Beautifully acted, and I've got a fetish for white mohair/angora jumpers now -------------------- "Love your Crooked Neighbour, with your Crooked Heart"

Terminator Salvation - 6.5/10
i had really low expectations going into this one because it was universally panned by everyone i've spoken to about it. so i guess i would characterize my initial reaction as being mildly surprised that it didn't suck as much as i thought it would. it wasn't anything great though....it's not something that i have any desire to watch again. -------------------- ![]() |

Bran Nue Dae
It's a movie musical, based on a stage play, largely unknown actors buoyed by the always brilliant Geoffrey Rush. Quite fun, but swishy and with almost zero depth. 6/10 |

it had some genuine laugh out loud moments, but the ending was just so cliché and easy....except for the dutch rudder. that was not cliché. -------------------- ![]() |

Shutter Island 5/10
I'd really been wanting to see it and had purposely avoided all spoilers so I wouldn't ruin it for myself. You spend half of the movie confused and then the big "ah-ha!" moment takes half an hour to explain. It also seemed like this was a warm up for DiCaprio's character in Inception. Eerily similar character/plot devices and acting. Meh. -------------------- |
