There are two things that worrie me. One: William's not so much impressive vocals, two: Dave Grohl being around the band during the recording (they are recording in the Foo studios).. as for the vocal part again, miracles can be done in studio with editors, filters n' shit like that, so we'll have to wait and see/ or hear.. from what i hear Jerry will step up in front of couple of songs as lead vocals... maybe two or three songs. He can pull it off.. and also there are gonna be songs like half/half vocals.. like Would? or No Excuses had.. first part Jerry, second Layne/now William etc.. i think this is gonna be good.

as for Corey Taylor that could work.. i remember one time they wanted to bring in Scott Weiland.. lol that's all they needed right now.. another struggling' junky!

I'll never be able to understand why bands like Nirvana received so much more noteriety and acclaim than AIC.  No other band from that era could touch the quality of releases which Alice provided.

There were just too many things to love about this band.  Mike's basslines and Sean's drumming(here) which carried a mood perfectly thoughout an entire song, the masterful guitar works of Jerry Cantrell, the overwhelmingly intense & emotional vocals/lyrics of Layne Staley and the beautiful harmonies between the two of them.

I remember reading a while ago that the band themselves said they wouldn't feel right staying with the AIC name with a new singer, yet they went ahead and picked up this brokeback loser and continued on.  I don't know, I really should him a chance first..  It's just going to feel weird seeing them live with the new guy attempting to take over for Layne's monstrous vocals.

Mad Season aka "Gacy Bunch" fucking ruled. One of the best side projects ever made. Anyway, I always loved that performance at Croc/Cafe Seattle. Times like these i wonder what would have been if Layne was still alive today. Also, i was cheacking out some recent AIC videos on their brief tour in Australia.. Will's voice isn't that bad actually.. it'll be interesting to hear the final result on the album which is prolly coming out sometime in late September (Jerry said that in a recent aussie radio interview)
