On a related note, I'd be willing to pay for a Father Ted dvd or two-ixnay on obtaining that anywhere where I'm at...

That was the sickest, darkest British comedy I have ever seen.

Melissa, get The Mighty Boosh. Peep Show. Spaced..... all total gems.
CJ, was the dark sick one about the main character being terminally ill or something like that. I missed it and can't remember its name.
Anyway, little Britain is the same joke for 5 years.

Nah, it was about this little village, that looks all calm and peaceful on the outside, but it's inhabitants are the most demented bunch you can imagine.
Sodomy, bestiality, torture and masturbation galore.
Great fun.
Many "I can't believe they just did this" moments.
Tons better than LB.

Mitchell and Webb is utter shite, so is little britain. League of Gentlemen is facking brilliant though. Check out "Garth Marengi's Dark Place" and "Nathan Barley". I'm assuming you know them, but "Brass Eye" and "The Day Today" are great aswell. All the other good stuff has been suggested.

Very true, Chris Morris is an absolute legend.
You should give 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace' a go. It's priceless.
And there's also Alan Partridge- I think there are about 3 series, and they're all hysterical.

A big hell yes to all of that.
Although I don't think the second season of Boosh is nearly as funny as the first (but it does have a Roger Daltrey appearance).

Eric, you are an anorak.
FG, League of Gentlemen, you'll love long with the others I mentioned. The Fast show is tremendous and the topical satires Brass Eye and The Day Today will leave you open mouthed.
And Yes, the Mitchell and Webb Look is a big steaming shit.
good taste on this board apart from Whopper, hahaha.
As for The Mighty Boosh.... 2nd series is patchy but it has some of my favourite stuff in it. Old Gregg, Milky Joe, Founatin of Youth.... stunningly original and completely mental.
FG, check the 1st series out to get into the swing of THE MIGHTY BOOOOOSH! You'll be bale to download plenty of it.
SO much good comedy in the last 5 years its hard knowing where to start.

I dunno where that vid is of. I thought it was just a promo shot.
Yip, Howard is the unsung hero. Deep and mystical. Poetic and deluded.
There is a long line of Boosh lovers on this board. It's like a family tree.
Milky Joe episode is up there with the best along with Hitcher, Tundra, Fountain of youth... oh fuck it. All of em are great.

Agreed, nanageddon was a great episode.
And while Vince my be King of the Mods, Howards got that ultra sexy multi purpose tweed utilty suit.
One of my favorite scenes.

but we should beg for another season of Darkplace..
isnt there the beginings of THe Mighty boosh
some of the imaginarium and the sense of humour reminds me of the boosh
plus the same actors are in some episodes
its a shame there's just one season of this! or maybe that make it more funny and unique
