Hail was a grower, to be honest I didn't really like it to start with but once I got my double heavy weight vinyl it started to grow on me. There There is one of their best songs.
Can't wait to get my Disc Box this baby on vinyl is gonna sing sing sing.
Couldn't get tickets to any of the recent shows so I can't compare live versions but for me this the best album since OK without a doubt and I think it will surpass The Bends & Kid A for me, it just sounds like a classic already.

Yeah, the range on that man frightens me to no end. Not just high, he's low too.
Muse is cool, but doesn't compare to radiohead, it's apples and oranges. Yeah the both sing falsetto, but where Radiohead would be the jazz, Muse would be the punk. Radiohead is amazing in a simple complexity and their ear for instrumentation and their big fucking brains full of theory, muse is more powerchords and hook filled melodies with a lot of static and crash symbols and crazy synth effects to fill the space.
I love both muse and radiohead, but radiohead are far superior. You can find something new with radiohead everytime you listen, muse kinda plays out as deeper than average brit-rock/pop.

Like Ash said, Muse are Radiohead are apples and oranges. And you can't compare Era Vulgaris to In Rainbows.
I've got it on repeat at work and loving it a little bit more everytime, Reckoner starting to become a favourite.

Songs that made it to my ipod:
15 step
bodysnatchers
not really tempted to induce myself with this album.

honestly, i rather here the same shit that's working for me everytime instead of radiohead with their annoying background sounds shit. matter of taste though.
and i don't see what's wrong with continue making good records with your "old" sound. it's ridiculous to expect something new everytime.
yeah radiohead are far more complex but muse are intoxicating, at a radiohead concert i'd stand in some corner yawning and waiting for the show to be finally over, to slow for me and they lack the energy somehow. muse might be the rip off but they do it for me and that's all that should matter.

listening to In Rainbows really shows all the weak points of Hail to the Thief, and there weren't too many of those.
"weird fishes/arrpegi" is emerging as a top choice. but it's still way behind "all i need" and "nude"
