Pilot of the Dune - I Take it up the Ass

I prefer his earlier release: "Pilot of the Dune- My Girlfriend Bought Me a Butt Plug and Now I Love It More Than Her"

Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight was disappointing to say the least, I know most people on this board hate them, but I was a really big fan, but then they went all softy on my ass, I mean if I want to listen to piano melodies I'll listen to coldplay, linkin park was originally somewhat hardcore music for the average music listener, now they really aren't anything special

Linkin park... if you wanna listen to good linkin park listen to NIN. All their ideas and the like are pretty much ripped off from our ole' boy trent. From explicit to implicit, Linkin Park is NIN lite and always has been.

I've not really heard much new stuff this year, I've been too busy building up my back catalogue of old stuff from the likes of Black Flag, The Kinks, etc...

I liked the Burning Brides album 'Hang Love' though.

Actually Bring It On was released in 2006, but Goose had their highlights this year. They're pretty fucking awesome live.

There's no way the Kings of Leon are on the same level as Queens and Radiohead, and yes I have heard their new album.  Twice.

I was highly impressed with the album, so I'm putting it on my list. My opinion, not yours.

Oh I definitely agree with the "youth and young manhood" statement. I just really liked the latest one too. One of my favorite purchases this year so far.

the reason why Era Vulgaris and In Rainbows are so great is because they are mainstream albums that don't suck.

Era Vulgaris was easily the best traditional mainstream album of 2007, QOTSA is just showing that there success isn't holding back their musical risks

the reason that you're wrong is because you either have a full-time job and therefore can't devote enough time to music or just have low standards

whichever, it's one of those

I really love PJ Harvey's White Chalk. It's a bit depressing, but some albums hit you in the right spots at the right times. This one is brilliant.

why mainstream? i don't know. i haven't listened to much music released in 2007. i like mystery palace's album. adrian belew's side three is also interesting, last year though.

but hey, don't get me wrong; i've seen queens 3 times this year and all have been captivating like always. i can listen to that album front and back no problem. it's just that none of the songs from the last few albums have felt natural to me, nothing much to keep me coming back aside from maybe the improved lyrics and new scratchy sound, but that kind of sound is prominent on misfit love - which is (i'm guessing) generally considered one of the top 2 songs on the album - but grows fairly gimmicky after 30 listens or so. and that's referring to one of the best tracks.

1) Year zero
2) Era Vulgaris
3) In rainbows

I wish I could be more original but I've spent most of this year buying stuff I just never got around to listening to. Lots of old music this year. Been a good year, but I've been out of touch with the major happenings. However, if I had to choose one, I'd say Year Zero pretty much rocked my titties off.
