Linkin park... if you wanna listen to good linkin park listen to NIN. All their ideas and the like are pretty much ripped off from our ole' boy trent. From explicit to implicit, Linkin Park is NIN lite and always has been.

I was highly impressed with the album, so I'm putting it on my list. My opinion, not yours.

Oh I definitely agree with the "youth and young manhood" statement. I just really liked the latest one too. One of my favorite purchases this year so far.

Era Vulgaris was easily the best traditional mainstream album of 2007, QOTSA is just showing that there success isn't holding back their musical risks

the reason that you're wrong is because you either have a full-time job and therefore can't devote enough time to music or just have low standards
whichever, it's one of those

why mainstream? i don't know. i haven't listened to much music released in 2007. i like mystery palace's album. adrian belew's side three is also interesting, last year though.
but hey, don't get me wrong; i've seen queens 3 times this year and all have been captivating like always. i can listen to that album front and back no problem. it's just that none of the songs from the last few albums have felt natural to me, nothing much to keep me coming back aside from maybe the improved lyrics and new scratchy sound, but that kind of sound is prominent on misfit love - which is (i'm guessing) generally considered one of the top 2 songs on the album - but grows fairly gimmicky after 30 listens or so. and that's referring to one of the best tracks.

2) Era Vulgaris
3) In rainbows
I wish I could be more original but I've spent most of this year buying stuff I just never got around to listening to. Lots of old music this year. Been a good year, but I've been out of touch with the major happenings. However, if I had to choose one, I'd say Year Zero pretty much rocked my titties off.
