Very exciting Champions League draw.
How so?
I think at this stage the favourites will pull through.
Can Liverpool sustain their run and finally win a league?
No. Liverpool is doomed to never ever win the league again.
Can Villa break into the the top 4?
In theory, yes.
Can anyone stop Barca in Spain or in Europe?
In Spain, no. In Europe, yes. Everything is possible.
Can Hoffenheim keep it up in Germany?
Sadly, I believe Munich will go and win it again. But Hoffenheim are tough contestants.
Who will Man City buy in January?
Fuck all.
Will Vidic be suspended for the Inter matches?
Dunno.
Will Jamie Redknapp ever stop being the biggest nobhead in the world?
Is he?

My bad.
I am always wrong with predicting matches, but here goes:
Atletico Madrid beats FC Porto
Olympique Lyon loses to FC Barcelona
FC Arsenal - AS Roma, now that's a tough one. No idea!
Inter Mailand loses to Manchester United, but it's gonna be pretty close.
Turin to beat Chelsea.
FC Villarreal beats Panathinaikos Athen
Munich will get through to the next round againt Sporting Lissabon, but it'll be very, very lucky. As usual.
Liverpool will beat Madrid.
There ya go.

Hoffenheim are some story, I was listening to the radio and it went through their story. Pretty cool.
Chelsea drew with Everton. I would have snapped your hand off if you offered that before the match. Everton could have won. Terry getting sent off was a big turning point, Everton had a few very good chances towards the end.
Setanta could possibly be more braindead than Sky. Idiots, the lot of them.
Steve McManaman constantly looks like he's going to a Saturday Night Fever theme night.

Ya know how everybody in Europe is dumbfounded by American football and baseball? Ya'all pretty much couldn't care less about either one of those games, right?
Well, that pretty much sums up our feelings about soccer. It's a boring game that we don't care to play well.
Sure we can luck into a few wins here and there. Our women can snag a World Cup once in a great while. But even when the American squad does well, few in the US actually give a fuck because the sport flies so far below the radar it may as well be under the dirt.

Come on lads. Let us know, please.

We know they're currently sitting in the top 4.

Experience will simply make the difference in the second half of the season.
Shit, I had to look at the standings for this post - I really couldn't care less about boring German 1st league football

I know, I don't think I watched a single 1. Bundesliga match this season.
At first I hated Hoffenheim, because of all the money involved, but then they won me over with attractive football, and it's nice seeing a team of more or less nobodies mixing with the likes of Munich, Bremen, Schalke and Dortmund, even beating some of them.
Not sure if Villa can keep their good form til the end of the season.
Even tho MON added some quality to the squad before the season, I think it's still pretty thin, compared to other teams.
We definitely need a striker, Gabby is doing well on his own up there, but what if he gets injured as well?
Delfouneso is SO green, and Harewood is a super sub, but not more.
I think Friday's match against Arsenal will be really important, three points against the gunners, and they'll struggle to catch up with us.
We'll see.
And a question for Jules and myself... will Pauli move up to the 1st Bundesliga this season?

No. But if Trojan, Hoilett, Gunesch, Lude and some others stay with us after this season, we should have best chances in 2009/2010!

Come on man, you support a team that has Craig Bellamy in its ranks!
On a separate note, players of the season so far (in England):
Ashley Young/Martin Laursen
Xabi Alonso
Nemanja Vidic/Patrice Evra
Michael Turner
Phil Jagielka
Brede Hangeland
Robinho
Amr Zaki

Is that a good thing?
I find it almost scary how Villa are winning matches now that they should have never won.
The goal against Hull must have been the first Villa goal that didn't have me cheering, I was more like "you're having a laugh!".
Quite undeserved... and at the same time SO good to be 4th and three points ahead of the Arse.
And Jules, that's what I'm thinking.
Keep the team together, and it could become a golden 100-year-celebration next season.
I actually believe moving up this year would be pointless, the team is definitely not ready for it yet.

Exactly. That's how everyone I talk to feels about it
.
We're the only supporters in 2. Bundesliga that don't want to see their team go up this year.

Heh.
They'd tear us to shreds up there.
I'd rather have another fun year of 2nd division football.
