my whole problem with the conspiracy theorist is this. do you know how much manpower it would take to pull of something like this? the government can pay any amount to keep these peoples mouths shut but in the end they would get much much more money for film rights and a book deal. so where are these people that made it happen? how come they havent come foward? if i was sitting on millions of dollars it would be hard for me to keep my mouth shut.

Because so often the conspirasists are stuck on their theories & hypotheses and twist the facts to fit their theory, rather than the other way around. Of course there are plenty of real conspiracies, the rationale behind the US invading Iraq or Shell's manipulation of Nigeria's government to get the oil out are two examples off the top of my head.

The reasons & methods behind the 4 hijacked planes are open to interpretation, the actuality of those planes crashing into the WTC and Pentagon is not.

The best way to hide a conspiracy is in plain sight,  blending into the everyday background. A national tragedy, in the middle of of one of the most populous areas in the world maybe in plain sight but it's far too exposed to have any hope of escaping notice. A guy sitting in the corner of a library selling schematics for the next generation of onboard combat radar is a conspiracy. Hell there actually were conspiracies afoot on 9/11, unfortunately for the truthers, the conspirers were the 19 hijackers and the network which supported them. And everyone already knows that story.

You didn´t answer my question, so i believe you didn´t whatch it anyway. But talking of convincing some, what does it need in your opinion? A big assed high rent hollywood production? Come on, that guy is an architect collaborating whit other engineers, i´m not naive and i don´t fall for conspiracy theories, but what exactly is your profession to think this organisation is talking bullshit?

I didn't watch the link, but I did do some research into this recently after a watching a conspiracy theorist on an Irish chat show. He kept repeating that over 1000 architects and engineers doubt the official reports. 1000+ seemed like a large enough number, large enough to motivate me into doing a little research. Of course, the guy did go on to talk about "shadow governments"...

National Council of Structural Engineers Association Members: 12,000 (in 2003)

1425/(83500+12000) = 0.015 or 1.5%.

So, taking into account that there is probably more than 83,500 members of AIA, less than 1.5% of professionals have signed up for this.

Edit: there's obviously inadequacies involved with getting figures from the internet, but I think that my reckoning is fairly sound.
