Smoking.

Seriously just quit. It's such a shitty habit. I only smoke on occasion now and it's fantastic. I don't feel like I'm not breathing right 90% of the time.

But giving up drinking?? That's crazy talk right there.

I quit bathing a few years ago, it seemed to have work out well as I always got an empty seat next to me on the subway  smile.gif

I gave up smoking about 6 years ago.  It was tough, but worth it in the end.  I love not being attached to something - when you smoke you always worry about having enough smokes, a lighter and a chance to actually smoke.  I also hated the way it made me smell.  So I quit cold turkey and haven't looked back.  I am the type of person though that I cannot have even one smoke without being entirely hooked again.

I have also given up caffeine for long stretches of time, which was actually almost harder than the smoking.  The non-stop headache made me really really hate trying to give that one up.

I have quit all drugs and smoking. I took up smoking again after a couple of years though. Thinking about when I will quit again though, as I I'm starting to notice the immediate health effects again (fitness, coughing, phlegm, etc.) rather than just the long term risks.

I only actually smoke on weekends, I'd go through a pack of 20 if I went out for two nights

I feel no need to smoke at any other time except for when I'm out, in which case I really need a cigarette if I don't have any

drinking's just been drinking since I turned 18. I largely want to quit because a nice drop is fucking expensive. I'd rather not drink at all if I have to drink piss like Becks.

Quit drinking 2 years ago (or there abouts) still have the ocassional drink but it's few and far between (I'm a lightweight now, it's no fun) but yeah, fuck paying to feel like total shit the next day, my drinking had become unhealthy aswell so yeah, was time to quit. I can honestly say I miss it atall, dosen't even cross my mind tbh. In the process of quitting tobacco, got shit coming out of my nose that looks like alien vs predator, purely health reasons. Legal drugs are the worst...except coffee, I fucking love coffee.

smoking
Though once in a blue moon I get trashed and smoke
I regret it more than anything else And it makes me feel worse ie, a smoking hangover is worse than an alcohol/ drug hangover
It is the dirtiest habit

I'm quite happy to have quit smoking. They're nearly 8 quid a pack now. For the first few months I got really impatient with people and angry but I'm £8 a day richer and I became quite health conscious overall. Quitting eating meat was actually really easy because quite often it made me vomit. I started to think I've got all this dead stuff inside me and I'd throw up. I still ate fish for a while but I quit that too after the same thing started happening. The combination of quitting both of these things has made me feel much healthier and happier.

so I went out last night and didn't drink. I was flagging by about 12, really fucking tired. It was weird. First night I haven't had a drink ever.

I had a couple of whiffs of a cigarette, but y'know.

also, had my first ever Red Bull.

i'm not feeling so hot and tempted to give up booze after too much volleyball and tequila at the company beach party yesterday. which ended up in the emergency room. a coworker managed to knock his front tooth out. i remember once we finally found the emergency care place, i had a ridiculous giggling fit in the waiting room. inappropriate!
